What is a TOP 100?

A TOP 100 is a web site that has a listing of 100 links. These links are listed in order, with the site that sends the most visitors at the top of the list. You may sometimes see a TOP 50. This is simply a listing of only 50 links.

How does your TOP 100 work?

Webmasters place one of our banners on their web site with a special link to Swingers100.com. Our system keeps track of every person that is sent to Swingers100 by clicking on our banner. The more "hits" that are sent, the higher on the list the web site is placed. We rank sites based on a system called POINTS. Every site receives 3 "OUT" POINTS for each click on it's hyperlink on Swingers100.com. Each site that uses Swingers100 exclusively and displays a qualifed banner, will receive 3 "IN" POINTS for every unique visitor they send. Click here for more information on POINTS. Sites that are not exclusive will receive 1 "IN" POINT for each unique visitor they send.

How often is Swingers100 updated?

Every "hit" is registered in REAL TIME. This means that the count is registered instantly. No other Top 100 on the Internet updates as frequently. Every 24 hours ALL counts are reset to zero. This gives every site a chance to be #1 on the list.

How many "Hits" can I expect to get in return?

Most of the time you will get MORE hits than you send. This alone makes it worth while being on the list, not to mention that everyone needs the exposure.

If my web site has NOTHING to do with Alternative Lifestyles, can I still sign up?

No, this Top 100 is dedicated to those sites that specialize in alternative lifestyles. If you have a site with hard core sex pictures, please do not sign up with Swingers100. There are many other Top 100's that you can sign up with. If you are unsure whether or not your site qualifies, please read our policies.

How do I sign up?

It's really easy. Just go to the Add A Site page and fill out a few lines. You will be given the lines of code to place on your web site, and a banner to place on your server.

Do I have to put up your banner?

Feel free to use an appropriate text link if you wish. Text links must include "Swingers100" or "Swingers100.com" somewhere in the text. If you do use a banner though, it must be one of the Swingers100 banners. Misleading or blind links are not allowed. "Open window" or "new window" pop-ups are not allowed. Also, bringing up Swingers100 in a frame is not allowed.

Do I need to give Swingers100 my banner?

No, we do not put up banners in the TOP 100. Banner spots are reserved for advertisers only to help pay for the site. For more information on placing a banner ad on Swingers100, please see the advertising page.

How many hits do I have to send on to be on the list?

You simply have to send one hit between 9am and 9pm, or more hits than Site #100 to be placed on the Top 100 list. If the list is full, your site can still make page 2 by sending one unique hit. If you do not send any hits for 7 consecutive days, your site will be removed from the Swingers100 database without notice. Hits will only be counted if they come from your web site's domain.

Why am I not listed on Swingers100 when I know I should be?

First, verify that the code you have placed on your web site is correct. (If you have NEVER been listed - this is usually the cause) If you have been listed and now you are not, there are two possible causes. First, you may not have sent 1 hit in over a week, therefore your site has been removed. You will need to resubmit it. The second reason is your site is unrelated to the "lifestyle" and therefore removed. You will not be able to resubmit your site if this is the case.

Are sites that sell things allowed on Swingers100?

We consider sites using an AVS to be a legitimate service, and not a "sales" site. Sites that are designed primarily for memberships, or to market a product or service are not allowed in the Top 100 List. How can I change the description, title or URL on my link?

Be sure you get it right the first time. Swingers100 very rarely makes changes to the Top 100 List. You may email us with your account number, password, and any change requests, and we will determine whether to update the list or not. Sites submitted multiple times will be removed.
